Installation Training
Only properly installed insulation delivers the desired energy savings. This means installation is key to ensuring that your system functions effectively.
All too often, materials are stretched beyond their prescribed thicknesses. This leads to a dramatic reduction in insulation values and makes the insulation more vulnerable to damage.
We offer comprehensive training to installers of both PE foam-based products and insulated pipes and pipe systems.

Insulation training courses
We offer training courses for installers of insulation for heating, cooling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems etc. These take place in our training facilities or as on-site (project) training.
ThermaSmart PRO Foundation
Duration: 1 day
Goal: learn to properly insulate a simple (dummy) system with sheet and tubes, including tees and bends
Target audience: installers and insulators without experience with thermoplastic tube and sheet insulation
Register at the OOI for Thermaflex 1 (14 March 2024, 13 June 2024)
ThermaSmart PRO Professional
Duration: 1 day + 1 day on-site support
Goal: learn to properly insulate a complex system with sheets and tubes
Target audience: installers/insulators who have passed the Foundation training or who have experience with insulating with other materials (e.g. rubber)
Register at the OOI for Thermaflex 2 (Apr.17-18 and Jul. 8-9, 2024)
ThermaSmart Marine Professional
Duration: 1 day
Goal: learn to properly insulate a simple (dummy) system with sheet and tubes, including tees and bends
Target audience: installers and insulators in the marine sector without experience with thermoplastic tube and sheet insulation
ThermaSmart Marine Expert
Duration: 1 day + evaluation/inspection at project location
Goal: learn to properly insulate complete cooling systems in ships
Target audience: installers and insulators in the marine sector who have passed the Professional training or who have experience with insulating with other materials (e.g. rubber)
Flexalen training courses
We offer training for infra contractors, installers and energy companies at our training facilities or any other suitable location. Participants who pass the test will receive a certificate of participation. We recommend a refresher course every two years.
Flexalen installation
Duration: 1 day
Goal: learn to install Flexalen 600 and Flexalen PU for heating and/or cooling networks, including welding (electro fusion) and post-insulation of joints
Target audience: all those involved in the installation of heating and cooling networks
Flexalen Butt fusion
Duration: half day
Goal: learn about butt fusion for Flexalen parts (temperatures, pressure and cooling down)
Target audience: installers of heating and cooling networks
Flexalen Socket fusion
Duration: half day
Goal: learn about socket fusion for Flexalen parts (temperatures, pressure and cooling down)
Target audience: installers of heating and cooling networks
