For the environment and society

Global warming presents humanity with the greatest challenge of our time. Climate change threatens biodiversity and is leading to rising sea levels. A drastic reduction in CO2 emissions is needed to prevent even worse.

Thermaflex insulation sustainability

Thermaflex sustainability

We take responsibility

Delivering energy savings and sustainability with innovative insulation concepts is our raison d’être. Lower energy consumption means lower costs for our customers and their end users, lower emissions of harmful substances and a longer service lifespan for buildings, systems, appliances and machines.

We also no longer produce insulation materials made from synthetic rubber, glass wool or polyurethane. And back in 1990, we were the first company in the world (!) to switch to completely chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)-free production.

We take sustainability seriously by only offering products that:

  • Are recyclable and/or consist of recyclable content
  • Are produced using an environmentally friendly production method
  • Are produced by suppliers that share our principles
  • Consist of safe materials
  • Have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
  • Minimise energy waste
  • Maximise the use of renewable energy

Where others mainly talk about sustainability and the environment, we put our money where our mouth is. For our efforts, we have been awarded one of the most coveted sustainability certificates: Cradle-to-Cradle certification.
