Thermaflex supplies a 1,600 kW district heating network in the Azores (EN)

In Angra do Heroísmo, Terceira, Thermaflex, in collaboration with João Paulino Lda and consultant Acribia, developed a 1,600 kW district heating network using Flexalen pipes. The project aimed to utilize waste energy from a local conversion plant to provide sustainable heating, minimizing environmental impact. The network, designed to last over 50 years, features corrosion-free Flexalen pipes, ensuring durability and reduced maintenance. The initiative highlights the effective use of local renewable energy sources, contributing to the Azores' energy balance and sustainability goals.
