Sustaining comfort for an expanding world

An ever growing challenge. Expansion is a major challenge for emerging cities around the globe. More than half of the world’s population lives in urban areas, and that number is only going to grow. So does our energy consumption, which is expected to rise by more than 55% by 2040. This urges municipalities to evaluate existing heating, cooling and potable water networks as well as to develop new living and working space, and accommodate growing energy needs. It is thus crucial to upgrade and expand infrastructure in an early stage to secure the comfort and security of our future.

Connecting know-how

Our approach is to involve municipalities, engineers, consultants and installers in early stages of project development. In this way, we combine experience and know-how to ensure reliable cost-effective solutions, optimizing benefit for all stakeholders. Short installation time with a long-term guarantee drives the benefit of both ownership and end-use in terms of efficiency, security and sustainability. Through combining existing networks with our smart solutions for network extensions, disturbances on surroundings can be minimized.

Our support throughout the implementation further ensures all time, efficiency and environmental objectives are realized.

Some great opportunities lie in future-proofing our energy needs, so let’s connect our ambitions and realize them!

The main Benefits can be summarized with our ambition to minimize the disturbances by maximizing the pre-fabrication in our factories.

  • Reducing the work on site by up to 80%
  • Improving the speed by a factor 5

During the District Heating and Cooling Symposium 2010 in Tallinn Thermaflex presented 5 papers addressing the benefits of flexible pipe systems and tailored prefabricated solutions over the entire network lifetime, exemplified by the pre-insulated piping system Flexalen 600. Since that time Thermaflex achieved a global acceptance of the introduced solutions as they have been successfully implemented in numerous District Heating and Cooling network applications all over the world. This formed the basis for further developments since 2010. Production facilities have been up-scaled to meet an increasing demand and quality level. The cooperation of R&D with key stakeholders focused on responding to their challenges with new and improved solutions.

Awareness of the total costs of heating & cooling networks is rapidly increasing. Optimisation and smart designs offer more options and choices to important added value. Thermaflex focusses on minimizing “total cost of ownership” and maximizing the speed of implementation of these networks. A support program for innovative network design, available to all professional designers/engineers, offers the right solution/tool in combination with Flexalen network concepts.
