Thermaflex partner for UK, Flexenergy, has joined the UK District Energy Association as an associate.
ukDEA brings together the UK’s developers, operators and partners of the largest district energy schemes in the UK. The aim of ukDEA is promoting district energy as a means to deliver significant carbon savings, but also to establish a direct link between the Government and the industry's small market base. Representatives of the ukDEA have already been instrumental in contributing to the formation of the government’s proposed Heat Markets Forum.
Sandy Fairley, sales director of Flexenergy, says: "Our position as the sole distributor in the UK and Ireland of Flexalen pre-insulated pipe technology, manufactured by Thermaflex, makes us a valued partner for designers and specifiers focused on system performance, environmental impact and return on investment. The low carbon polybutene pipe technology brings significant heat loss benefits and energy efficiency gains to district heating schemes and to sustainable energy projects, such as biomass CHP, geothermal and heat recovery networks."
