Ventilation System Insulation with ThermaSmart® PRO

Project overview

In 2023, Flexi Offices started the renovation of premium office space at 45 Domaniewska Street in Warsaw. Alongside interior upgrades, the project included an extension of the existing ventilation system.

For commercial refurbishment projects, insulation plays an important role in maintaining system performance and achieving a professional finish. The project team therefore looked for a solution that would meet both technical and practical requirements.

The sanitary designers at PSK Komfort recommended ThermaSmart® PRO Sheet based on their experience with the product and its suitability for ventilation applications. Installation of the ventilation insulation was completed in early 2024.

Why ThermaSmart® PRO Sheet was selected

Ventilation duct insulation must withstand daily activity on construction sites while supporting reliable system operation.

During the selection process, the project team considered several important factors:

Based on these requirements, the team selected ThermaSmart® PRO Sheet for the ventilation ductwork. Thermaflex also supplied ThermaTape and ThermaGlue to support the installation.

Installation experience on site and project results

JP Mar-Ven System installed the insulation and used ThermaSmart® PRO Sheet for the first time on this project.

According to the installation team, the material was easy to work with and provided strong resistance to everyday site conditions. Durability was particularly valuable during handling and installation.

When cutting the insulated parts in contact with the angle grinder, the insulation does not melt, smoke or smell. As a result, all the components can be pre-insulated on the work table, which is a great convenience and comfort for installers.”
