Termika, an experienced contractor of industrial installations in the maritime sector, is responsible for the insulation work on board the Ro-Pax vessels. Comprehensive insulation of the pipes has already been completed on the NB101 vessel. The same scope of work is also planned for the sister ferry NB102.
In both cases, a solution adapted to extreme marine conditions has been used – an insulation system designed specifically for use on passenger and cargo ships – ThermaSmart® Marine.
Due to its excellent performance characteristics, particularly their durability in demanding marine conditions, these products are widely used on ships owned by the most renowned shipowners. Their use reduces the need for servicing refrigeration systems several times over compared to previously used materials. The ThermaSmart® Marine system significantly reduces the risk of pipe corrosion, leaks and spills.
Thermaflex conducts regular training courses for installation companies around the world. Several hundred professionals from different continents have already undergone the training and got certified. We are pleased that twelve people from Termika are among them. Their training took place in autumn 2024, before and during the implementation of the NB101 project.
Thanks to this close cooperation between the supplier and the contractor, the user can now count on a reliably manufactured system that will ensure economical and environmentally friendly, long-term operation of the installation.
