As part of a major upgrade aboard the Carnival Panorama cruise ship, ThermaSmart® Marine 2.0 was applied to improve the efficiency and longevity of its cold pipe systems. This upgrade was essential to eliminating condensation issues, optimising thermal performance, and ensuring long-term reliability. By reducing energy consumption and maintaining a stable onboard climate, the project contributes to the ship’s overall operational efficiency.

To ensure the highest installation standards, we trained and certified 15 professionals from Trident BMC in applying ThermaSmart® Marine insulation. The result? A well-insulated system that protects against moisture-related risks such as mould and corrosion, ensuring optimal conditions for both passengers and crew.

MV Aroya: Innovation in Chiller Insulation

For the MV Aroya project, Marine Technik Hamburg (MTH) became the first German installer certified by Thermaflex for applying ThermaSmart® Marine 2.0 insulation.

While the MTH team already possessed outstanding expertise, our tailored training helped refine techniques for maximum insulation performance.

The team successfully applied our marine insulation to four chillers and a large DN250 main pipeline, significantly enhancing insulation durability and system efficiency. This installation protects against condensation and mechanical damage, ensuring optimal chiller performance from transport through to operation. Thanks to its integrated vapour barrier and high tear resistance, ThermaSmart® Marine 2.0 is the ideal choice for shipbuilding environments where durability is essential.
