Princess Cruises partners with Thermaflex for insulation excellence on Discovery Princess

Thermaflex marine specialists spent six days on Discovery Princess at Singapore drydock, trained nine members of the riding team, certified two installers from Bluestone Group, provided practical guidance and project support to ensure consistent application quality across all teams.

Operating temperatures around −10 °C, demanding vapor-tight insulation to prevent condensation and CUI. Princess Cruises specified ThermaSmart® Marine 4.0 to meet long-term efficiency, reliability, and safety standards across the fleet. The teams worked on chilled water and AC systems operating at low temperatures in warm, humid ambient conditions, where vapour‑tight, mechanically robust insulation is essential for stable performance.

Over six days, Princess riding team members and key installation partners worked side by side with Thermaflex insulation experts Ton van Soest and German Torres, applying ThermaSmart® Marine 4.0 and completing training with very positive results.
