PRE-INSULATED PIPING APPLICATION

Heat Pumps

Heat pumps extract thermal energy from air or ground using minimal electricity for efficient heating and cooling applications. Connecting heat pumps to buildings or district networks involves pre-insulated pipes, intelligent engineering, and professional installation.

Heat pumps are central to global energy transition, converting renewable electricity into efficient heating and cooling while reducing carbon emissions. As clean electricity infrastructure expands worldwide, pre-insulated pipe systems enable heat pumps to serve residential buildings, district networks, and campus environments with minimal thermal losses, supporting climate goals and energy independence.

SYSTEM TYPES

Configurations for Every Application

Heat pumps come in various models and sizes tailored to specific project needs. Central heat pumps deliver thermal energy to multiple buildings through designated distribution networks, offering singlepoint serviceability and attractive business cases. Individual heat pumps serve single dwellings as split units (requiring copper refrigerant piping) or monobloc systems. Monobloc heat pumps, typically installed outdoors, require robust pre-insulated supply and return water pipes for quick, reliable installation. Proper engineering, flexible piping, quality insulation, and project-specific prefabrication maximize security of supply across all configurations, from individual monoblocs to thermal networks serving entire developments.

INSTALLATION EFFICIENCY

Lightweight, Flexible, High Performance

Flexalen pre-insulated Polybutene-1 (PB-1) pipes combine stable high-temperature performance with rapid, straightforward installation. The systems are lightweight and extremely flexible, critical advantages near heat pump units and building entry points where maneuverability matters most. High flexibility, standard tooling, and predefined installation kits enable installers to complete projects efficiently. Material resistance to pressure and temperature extremes ensures long-term durability. Installers choose between mechanical connections (safe, easy-to-install) or fusion-welded connections (completely homogeneous), both delivering leak-free performance throughout the entire service lifespan. Cradle-to-Cradle Silver certification supports green building requirements and sustainable project credentials.
