Controlled domestic ventilation

Air quality

To control indoor air quality and temperatures, refreshing the air and proper ventilation are extremely important. This rids the space of moisture, smoke, odours and indoor pollutants and avoids the spread of viruses via aerosols. Good insulation of the ventilation ducts prevents condensation, saves energy and reduces noise.

TQ Air Controlled Domestic Ventilation

Controlled domestic heat recovery ventilation

Heat recovery systems need optimally insulated air ducts to avoid condensation and realise a safe and healthy indoor climate.

Better insulation needs better ventilation

Homes are becoming better insulated. This makes it increasingly important to ventilate in a continuous and controlled way. After all, moist and dirty air must be removed to prevent the home becoming a breeding ground for bacteria, house dust mites and mould.
This exhaust air from the house contains a great deal of heat. A heat recovery ventilation system (HRV) and heat pump system are used to retain this heat and prevent unnecessary energy losses.

Preventing condensation

A common problem with heat recovery ventilation systems is condensation on the supply and return ducts. This is caused by large temperature differences between indoor and outdoor air. To maintain a healthy indoor climate and prevent damage to the HRV system, it is important to properly insulate the supply and return ducts with an impact-resistant, vapour-tight and water-repellent ducting system.

Noise reduction

Ventilation systems and heat pumps produce emission noise. Good insulation of the supply and return ductwork can greatly reduce this noise, which is often considered a nuisance.
